Peter Borstel Agronomist with Farmanco is based in the central wheatbelt – working from our Mundaring office. Peter joined Farmanco in March 2017 and has an intricate knowledge of dryland farming and commercial expertise.
Prior to joining Farmanco he was a founding owner of – and agronomist for 18 years – with The Farm Shop. From 1998, Peter was the key agronomist, supplying customers with agronomic support and technical information.
With the introduction of spray, seed and minimum tillage practices in the early 1980s, Peter was involved with the pioneering of no-till in Western Australia.
He was National Project Officer for both Achieve and Impact, developing the technical position and labels, alongside the agricultural departments in each Australian state.
Peter has a wealth of knowledge around dryland farming, with extensive experience in pesticides, pastures and varieties, as well as crop nutrition. Peter can offer clients up-to-date, sound, cost-effective advice, maximisinggross profit and minimising risk over the cropping program.
Clients in the Dowerin and Goomalling regions and up to Kalannie will be supported by Peter in his agronomist role. His advice will cover all aspects of your agronomic program, from initial paddock by paddock planning, to nutritional advice, in-crop inspections and end of year analysis.
