Andrew Smith joined Farmanco in February 2019, after spending 2.5 years with ConsultAg as an Agronomist. Based in the Kojonup office, Andrew will be providing agronomy services to Farmanco clients in the Great Southern region.
Growing up on the family farm east of Mukinbudin has been the foundation on which he has developed the drive and determination to seek a career in the Ag industry.
After completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Agricultural Science at UWA, Andrew sought a career in agronomy. Before starting with Farmanco, Andrew consulted in Kulin with ConsultAg for 2.5 years. Prior to that Andrew worked with AGT conducting plant breeding trials across WA, also having the opportunity to travel to Germany to assist in plant breeding operations.
Moving into the high rainfall zone Andrew is keen to apply the skills he has developed and learn the intricacies of a new system. With a fresh approach, he takes pride in working with clients to achieve the best outcomes for their businesses. Andrew is particularly enthusiastic about the future of agriculture incorporating new technologies into the system.
