To give an opportunity to young ag graduates to work alongside our farm consultants to help them during their busiest time of year, and at the same time gain some real-world consultancy experience, our Farm Management team decided to employ interns to support them and our clients.
Our team of three interns for 2020 comprises Georgie Sanchez, Jodie Pengel and Bronson Gledhill. They have undergone training to gain the skills needed to work alongside our consultants.
Jodie is currently in her third year of a Bachelor of Agribusiness with Curtin University. While currently residing in Perth, Jodie grew up in Kellerberrin and worked in a variety of roles before commencing with Farmanco. For the start of the 2020 review season, Jodie has worked with Rob Sands and David Ward and will assist Ben Curtis later in the season. Jodie has also worked on a number of internal Farmanco tasks, including updating of the 2020 Pestbook and our carbon emissions project.
The interns have worked on a variety of tasks within Farmanco, as well as assisting the consultants with client work and attending review meetings, to get a real feel for what it is that our Management Consultants do during review season.
