Enterprise Plans
Following an assessment of the available soil types, weed profile, rainfall, machinery and managerial ability, a suitable enterprise rotation for each paddock can be developed and implemented. Consideration is given to the relative economic return and physical sustainability of a rotation. FARMANCO has developed a rotational margin model that is able to examine the profitability of a range of crop and/or pasture rotations. The model can be used to develop average client margins or be used for individual clients to look at the best rotations on a paddock by paddock basis.
Crop and Pasture Agronomy
For the major crops and pastures grown in the wheat belt FARMANCO consultants provide agronomic advice on varieties, establishment, nutrition, weed control (including seed set control) and protection from diseases and insects. An essential component of this advice is the use of integrated methods to avoid and manage herbicide resistance. FARMANCO consultants are familiar with the Resistance and Integrated Management (RIM) spreadsheet model and calibrating the model for individual clients.
Specialist Agronomists are used by many clients for programming on a paddock by paddock basis. These specialists help to ensure our Farm Management Consultants are up to date with the latest technology and issues.
